About Me

A woman standing in front of a leafy hedge, smiling, in a black dress, in black and white.

My introduction to the world of movement was through ballet, a world built on precision, discipline, and elegance. It gave me a lot: a love for moving my body, an understanding that movement can be art, the particular joy of a shape finally clicking into place after months of trying. It also took things I'm still learning to name. I've spent the last several years unlearning the narratives that come folded into that training, the ones about smallness, about a body being something to perfect rather than something to live in.

Pilates arrived like a breath of fresh air. Not instead of the discipline, alongside it, softening it into something I could actually live inside. It offered precision without the punishment, elegance without the pretense that a body doesn't fluctuate, ache, or show up differently today than it did yesterday. The method was asking me to shrink, it was asking me to notice: the hip that's tighter on one side, the breath that catches when I finally stop performing long enough to feel it.

That act of noticing is the whole reason I teach. I want to hand people the tools to understand the bodies they're in, and somewhere in that understanding, to fall a little in love with how strange and intricate it is to be a person inside one at all.

I hold a 500-hour Pilates certification through The Practice Space, and I'm currently working toward my CPT and Nutrition Coach certification through NASM, because I wholeheartedly believe that strength training and real nourishment go hand-in-hand with a devoted Pilates practice, not three separate projects, but one ongoing relationship with the body you're actually in.

If you love Pilates but you're tired of a version of wellness that seems to be more about shrinking than it is about growing stronger, I'd love to work together.
